OUR STORY
Meet the women behind The Source
Two practitioners. One shared mission. A new standard of care for women navigating midlife.
OUR MISSION
To provide every woman with access to the personalized, evidence-based care she deserves at every stage of life.
The Source is a medical hormone optimization clinic dedicated to helping women navigate the physical and emotional changes of midlife. We provide personalized, evidence-based care that addresses hormonal imbalances, metabolic health, and mental wellness in a comprehensive and supportive environment.
Why We Founded The Source: Hormone Optimization & Wellness
At The Source, we recognized a significant gap in the way healthcare serves women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and overall midlife health. Too often, care during this stage is fragmented, symptom-focused, and reactive – leaving women feeling unheard, misunderstood, and without clear solutions. We founded The Source to change that. Our decision was driven by a shared belief that women deserve a more comprehensive, proactive, and personalized approach to their health – one that addresses not only hormonal balance, but also the critical connections between metabolism, mental health, sleep, and overall well-being. Rather than treating isolated symptoms, we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of how our patients feel. By integrating hormone optimization, metabolic support, and mental health care into a cohesive, longitudinal model, we deliver care that is both clinically effective and deeply supportive. The Source was built to be more than a clinic – it is a place where women feel seen, heard, and empowered with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health and live fully at every stage of life.
What Inspired the Practice
The inspiration for The Source is deeply personal. Both founders experienced the challenges of navigating menopausal care firsthand – one through surgical necessity and the other through the natural aging process. Their journeys were marked by years of fragmented care, limited guidance, and a lack of effective solutions. Everything changed when they discovered bioidentical hormone therapy. With the right, individualized approach, they experienced meaningful improvements in their physical, mental, and emotional well-being – and regained a sense of control over their health. That transformation became the foundation for The Source: a place where women can feel supported, understood, and empowered with real solutions.

Clinical Director · CO Founder
Kim Branden, NP
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a special interest in women’s health during the transition through perimenopause and menopause, Kim combines her expertise in mental health with a deep focus on hormonal balance. She views perimenopause as a powerful opportunity—a wake-up call—for women to intentionally shape the second half of their lives. While hormone therapy can be transformative, Kim emphasizes that it is only one piece of the puzzle. True wellness requires women to take ownership and responsibility for their health so that the last half of life can be as vibrant, strong, and fulfilling as the first half they’ve built.
Kim believes women deserve far more than waiting hours in a lobby only to have a rushed 10- to 15-minute conversation where they don’t feel truly heard or understood. Passionate about empowering clients, she offers unhurried, personalized care that puts each woman at the center of decision-making. Through thoughtful medication management, she helps support better mood, energy, sleep, and overall vitality.
